Disney After Hours is the opposite of a party. No parade, no fireworks, no theming. You pay to be one of a limited number of guests in a park that has closed to everyone else, and you ride things.
For anyone whose main frustration is queuing, it is the best value hard ticket Disney World sells. The 2026 season has finished, and the 2027 dates are on sale now.
Disney announced the 2027 dates on 10 September 2026 and opened sales to everyone on 22 September. Three parks take part.
| Park | 2027 nights | Hours | Price per ticket |
|---|---|---|---|
| Magic Kingdom | 19 nights, 11 Jan to 19 Jul | 10pm to 1am | $189 to $209 |
| Hollywood Studios | 22 nights, 16 Jan to 25 Aug | 9.30pm to 12.30am (24 Apr: 10.30pm to 1.30am) | $159 to $199 |
| EPCOT | 15 nights, 21 Jan to 19 Aug | 9.30pm to 12.30am | $159 to $189 |
All prices are per ticket plus tax, and children pay the same as adults. Hollywood Studios and EPCOT give Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members $30 off each ticket. Magic Kingdom has no discount.
The 2027 nights:
For comparison, 2026 cost $175 to $199 at Magic Kingdom, $155 to $189 at Hollywood Studios and $155 to $179 at EPCOT.
Dates and prices checked against Disney’s event and booking pages on 11 October 2026. No 2027 night was sold out on that date.
Worth it if you have a short trip and want maximum rides. Three hours of short queues can beat a full day in July, and you will not repeat that day for $189.
Worth it if you dislike crowds. A park at night with a limited number of guests is a genuinely different experience.
Not worth it if you want shows, parades or character meets, because you get almost none. And not worth it if your party tires early, since the value is concentrated between 11pm and closing.
After Hours tops out lower than Not-So-Scary or Very Merry ($199 against $229 in 2026), though the cheapest August Not-So-Scary nights ($119) undercut it. It delivers far more ride time. The parties deliver atmosphere and exclusive entertainment that After Hours does not attempt.
If the question is “how do I ride more things”, After Hours wins on every measure. If the question is “how do I make this feel like Christmas”, it is the wrong ticket.
See the events calendar for the full year and the Lightning Lane comparison, which is the main alternative way to buy queue time.
We check every date and price against Disney’s own listings before publishing, and say so plainly when Disney has not announced something. How we work is set out in our editorial standards.
A separately ticketed event where a limited number of guests stay in the park for 3 hours after it closes to everyone else. Disney runs a set list of rides, about 8 to 11 per park, with short queues, and includes ice cream novelties, popcorn and select bottled drinks. Every ticket lets you in from 7pm.
Magic Kingdom costs $189 to $209 per ticket, Hollywood Studios $159 to $199 and EPCOT $159 to $189, all plus tax and depending on the night. Children pay the adult price. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members save $30 at Hollywood Studios and EPCOT; Magic Kingdom has no discount.
Magic Kingdom runs 19 nights from 11 January to 19 July 2027, Hollywood Studios 22 nights from 16 January to 25 August, and EPCOT 15 nights from 21 January to 19 August. Disney announced them on 10 September 2026 and tickets went on general sale on 22 September.
Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, in both 2026 and 2027. Animal Kingdom doesn’t run it. Disney also ran H2O Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon water park in summer 2026, which is a separate event.
Yes if your priority is ride count. Three hours of short queues on a set list of headline rides can beat a full summer day, and snacks are included. No if you want parades, fireworks or character meets, because After Hours offers almost none of that.
