Not sure which Disney World ride to tackle first? Answer five quick questions and we'll match you to the rides most likely to become your favourite. We factor in thrill level, group type, the kind of experience you want, any sensitivities, and which park you're visiting.
The quiz covers 20 rides across all four parks. Results include links to our full guide for each ride so you can check height requirements, Lightning Lane tips and wait time advice before you go.
Yes. Click the Start Over button at the bottom of your results and choose a different park on question five. The ride list will update accordingly.
Check our Disney World Refurbishment Tracker for current closure dates. If a top ride is closed during your visit, work down the list, because the quiz orders results by match quality so the next ride will still suit your preferences.
The quiz includes the 20 most significant rides across all four parks. It does not include every minor attraction, character meet and greet, or show. For a complete list of rides at each park, see our individual park guides for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
The recommender scores each ride against your answers across five dimensions: thrill preference, group composition, experience type, sensitivities, and park. Each answer adjusts the weighting so rides that match your profile score higher. The result shows your top six rides in order, with links to the full guide for each one.
A few things worth knowing. The quiz filters out rides that are closed for refurbishment where we know the status. If you have a toddler in the group, rides with height requirements above 97cm are removed from results. If you selected motion sensitivity, any ride with rotating vehicles or simulator screens is excluded.
For the most accurate result, answer based on the least thrill-tolerant person in your group rather than the most adventurous. This gives you rides where everyone can participate rather than a shortlist that leaves half the group waiting outside.
Five questions cover thrill tolerance, who is travelling, the kind of experience you want, any sensitivities, and which park you are visiting. Every ride in the database carries a score against each of those, and the six that fit your answers best come back ranked.
Sensitivities filter rather than score. Say you would rather avoid dark rides, motion simulators or getting wet, and those rides are removed from the results instead of appearing lower down. That is deliberate: a ride you will not go on is not a recommendation.
Answer high thrill, adults only, something truly unique, no sensitivities, Magic Kingdom, and TRON Lightcycle Run comes back first, followed by Space Mountain and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
Change the group to a family with young children and the same park returns a very different list, because rides with a height requirement above the youngest rider drop out entirely.
Five questions on thrill tolerance, group, experience type, sensitivities and park. Every ride carries a score against each, and the six best matches come back ranked with a link to our full guide for each one.
The sensitivity filters remove rides rather than rank them lower, so choosing several at once in a single park can leave nothing. Loosen one of them or open it up to all parks.
Choosing a family group with young children removes rides the youngest rider cannot go on. For an exact answer on a specific height, use the height checker.
The list is maintained by hand and we remove attractions that have closed permanently. For temporary closures, check the refurbishment tracker before you plan a day around a specific ride.
