Walt Disney World’s 4 theme parks are spread over a wide area, and Magic Kingdom is the outlier. Measured in a straight line, it is 5.4 km from EPCOT and 6.8 km from both Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are the closest pair, 2.2 km apart and joined by the Skyliner and FriendShip boats.

The map below is our own, drawn to scale from published coordinates. It shows every Disney hotel, coloured by price tier, plus the monorail, Skyliner and boat links between them. For Disney’s official maps, use the interactive map on Disney’s website or the My Disney Experience app (links further down).

Our map of Walt Disney World, drawn to scale. Positions come from ThemeParks.wiki, Wikidata and Disney’s own location pins, collected on 13 October 2026. Lines show which stops each service connects, not the exact route it takes. Numbers match the hotel table below.

The hotels on the map

Each number is one hotel site. Where Disney runs a hotel and its Deluxe Villa wing from the same building, they share a number. The transport column covers Disney’s monorail, Skyliner and boats only, because every Disney Resort hotel also has Disney buses to the theme parks.

The 4 areas of Disney World

The map falls into 4 rough clusters, each built round a park or Disney Springs. This is how we split them.

Magic Kingdom area

The north of the property, around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. The Contemporary, Polynesian Village and Grand Floridian sit on the monorail loop, and Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness have boats to the park. Drivers park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) on the far side of the lagoon, then take the monorail or the ferryboat across. See our Magic Kingdom guide.

EPCOT area

The middle of the property. BoardWalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club and the Swan and Dolphin ring Crescent Lake behind EPCOT’s International Gateway, the park’s back entrance. The Skyliner runs from the International Gateway to Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, Art of Animation and Hollywood Studios. See our EPCOT guide and Hollywood Studios guide.

Animal Kingdom area

The south-west corner. Animal Kingdom Lodge, Coronado Springs and the 3 All-Star resorts are here, with Blizzard Beach between them and Hollywood Studios. This is the only park with no monorail, Skyliner or boat link, so it is buses only. See our Animal Kingdom guide.

Disney Springs area

The east side, nearest the airport. Port Orleans, Old Key West and Saratoga Springs have boats to Disney Springs on the Sassagoula River Cruise, and Typhoon Lagoon is 0.9 km away. The cluster of hotels beside Disney Springs is not run by Disney. See our Disney Springs guide.

How far apart are the parks?

These are straight-line distances between the park entrances, worked out from the map coordinates. Roads and bus routes are longer, so treat them as a minimum.

Magic Kingdom EPCOT Hollywood Studios Animal Kingdom Disney Springs
Magic Kingdom · 5.4 km 6.8 km 6.8 km 7.8 km
EPCOT 5.4 km · 2.2 km 4.6 km 2.9 km
Hollywood Studios 6.8 km 2.2 km · 3.1 km 3.9 km
Animal Kingdom 6.8 km 4.6 km 3.1 km · 7.0 km
Disney Springs 7.8 km 2.9 km 3.9 km 7.0 km ·

In miles: Magic Kingdom to EPCOT is 3.4, EPCOT to Hollywood Studios 1.4, and Hollywood Studios to Animal Kingdom 1.9. The longest gap between any 2 parks is Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios, both 6.8 km (4.2 miles). Our guide to the 4 parks covers what each one is like.

Closest hotels to each park

Straight-line distance from each park entrance to the hotel building, from the same coordinates. A short distance across water does not mean a short walk.

Park Hotel Straight line How you get there
Magic Kingdom Contemporary Resort 690 m Monorail, one stop
Magic Kingdom Grand Floridian Resort & Spa 750 m Monorail or boat; the distance is across Seven Seas Lagoon
EPCOT (International Gateway) Beach Club Resort 370 m Disney calls it a short stroll
EPCOT (International Gateway) BoardWalk Inn 430 m Disney calls it a short stroll
Hollywood Studios Walt Disney World Swan Reserve 730 m Not run by Disney
Hollywood Studios Walt Disney World Swan 800 m FriendShip boat
Hollywood Studios BoardWalk Inn 960 m FriendShip boat
Animal Kingdom Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House) 1,360 m Bus

Disney says the Skyliner station at EPCOT’s International Gateway is a short stroll from the BoardWalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club and BoardWalk Inn.

Disney says most boat routes run every 15 to 30 minutes. The Skyliner closes for refurbishment from 24 to 30 January 2027. On nights with Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT it closes 1 hour after the park, and only the Riviera to International Gateway leg runs. Disney also warns that Skyliner riders cannot get back to the EPCOT car park after EPCOT has closed. The Disney World transportation guide covers buses and journey times.
