Hollywood Studios opens at 9am and closes at 9pm or 9.30pm on most days. The half hour difference is not random: it tracks the night-time show, and the park shuts once it finishes.

How Hollywood Studios hours work

Opening is fixed at 9am for nearly the whole year, with Early Theme Park Entry from 8.30am for guests at Disney resort hotels.

Closing sits at 9pm or 9.30pm depending on the show schedule, and stretches later in the peak weeks around Christmas and Easter. It is the least variable of the three evening parks after EPCOT.

What does change is which nights the park is given over to a separate ticketed event, and Hollywood Studios runs more of those than anywhere except Magic Kingdom.

After Hours and Jollywood Nights

Disney After Hours puts a small number of ticket holders in the park after the general close, with short queues and included snacks. Disney Jollywood Nights is the Christmas version, running from early November.

On those dates the park closes early to day guests. Your ordinary ticket does not cover the event, and the early close is the part people miss when they plan an evening here.

Early Theme Park Entry at Hollywood Studios

This is the park where the 30 minute head start earns the most, because Hollywood Studios has the worst morning queues at Walt Disney World and the least capacity to absorb them.

Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash both routinely pass 90 minutes by mid morning. Both are reachable in the Early Entry window, and you can realistically get one of them done before the park opens to everyone else.

Pick one and commit. Trying for both usually gets you neither, because the walk from Galaxy’s Edge to Toy Story Land eats most of the advantage.

Extended Evening Hours at Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios was not historically part of the Extended Evening rotation, but it has picked up nights through 2026 as the schedule has moved around. When it runs, guests at Disney Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villa resorts get roughly 2 extra hours after close.

It is the most valuable of the three parks to have this on, because the queues that ruin a Hollywood Studios morning largely disappear in an evening with a few thousand people in the park instead of tens of thousands.
