EPCOT Hours: Live Times, Updated Hourly

EPCOT has the most consistent hours of the four parks. It opens at 9am and closes at 9pm on the great majority of days, and it holds that pattern through most of the year.

The complication is that half of EPCOT keeps different hours from the other half.

World Showcase opens later than the rest of the park

EPCOT opens at 9am. World Showcase, the ring of country pavilions around the lagoon, opens at 11am. That two hour gap is the single most useful thing to know about planning an EPCOT day, and it is missing from most guides.

It means Frozen Ever After and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, the two hardest rides to get on, are both unavailable for the first two hours the park is open. People arrive at rope drop, walk to Norway, and find a rope.

The practical version: spend 9am to 11am in the front of the park on Test Track, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Soarin’ and Mission: SPACE, then walk to World Showcase for 11am on the dot. Being in that first wave into Norway is worth about 40 minutes of queueing.

A handful of World Showcase locations open earlier during festivals, and a few shops open at 10am, but the rides hold to 11am.

Why EPCOT’s closing time barely moves

EPCOT runs to 9pm nearly every day, because the night-time show over the lagoon is scheduled at a fixed time and the park closes shortly after it.

That consistency makes EPCOT the reliable evening park. If Magic Kingdom is on a party date and closes at 6pm, EPCOT is still open. If you are park hopping, it is the safest place to end a day.

Hours do stretch during the busiest weeks of the year, and the four festivals bring extra evening programming without necessarily changing the closing time.

Early Theme Park Entry at EPCOT

The 30 minute head start applies at EPCOT every day for guests at Disney resort hotels. It is less contested here than at Magic Kingdom, because the crowd splits between Test Track and Cosmic Rewind rather than piling into one land.

Cosmic Rewind is the one to use it on. It is the only EPCOT ride sold as a paid Lightning Lane Single Pass, so a short Early Entry queue is the cheapest way onto it.

Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT

EPCOT has been the most consistent Extended Evening park through 2026, typically on Monday nights, giving guests at Disney Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villa resorts around 2 extra hours after the park closes to everyone else.
