Tropical Americas is an eleven-acre land replacing DinoLand at Animal Kingdom. It got its fullest reveal yet at D23 2026, and it is the most detailed of Disney World’s announced expansions.
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto
An Encanto ride with no height requirement, which makes it one of the few genuinely all-ages attractions Disney has announced recently.
You ride in vehicles made from furniture brought to life by Casita, the Madrigal house. The route passes more than 50 animal species, including capybaras, toucans and donkeys, which is how the land justifies its place in Animal Kingdom rather than any other park.
Stephanie Beatriz, Jessica Darrow and Diane Guerrero are reprising their film roles, so it is the original voices rather than sound-alikes.
El Carrusel de los Animalitos
A carousel with 22 hand-carved Disney and Pixar animal figures. Small addition, but it gives families with very young children a second thing to do in the land.
Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent
Set in an ancient Maya temple, with an original story rather than one lifted from the films.
The headline is the animatronic. This is the first Disney attraction to use Harrison Ford’s likeness for its Indiana Jones figure, which required his participation and has never been done before.
The ride involves the legendary Tsukán serpent, plus giant bats, scorpions and fire. Disney says it developed the land with archaeologists, anthropologists and Maya experts, which matters for a land built on a real culture rather than an invented one.

- No height requirement announced for the Indiana Jones ride. Antonio’s has none.

What it means for a trip now
DinoLand is gone. DINOSAUR, TriceraTop Spin and the surrounding area are closed, which makes Animal Kingdom noticeably smaller until Tropical Americas opens.
That is the main practical effect: Animal Kingdom is currently the easiest park to do in a single day, because there is less of it. Our one-day Animal Kingdom itinerary accounts for that.
