EPCOT International Festival of the Arts runs from mid-January into early March in 2027, across the quietest weeks of the Disney World year. That timing is the real reason to care about it.

Visual art, culinary art and performing art across World Showcase, included with normal park admission.

Why the timing matters more than the theme

Festival of the Arts sits in the gap after the Christmas crowds leave and before the spring break ones arrive. Queues are short, resort rates are at their lowest, and the weather is the mildest Orlando gets.

If you are choosing when to visit and are not tied to school holidays, this window is close to the best of the year. The festival is a bonus on top of that rather than the reason on its own.

What is actually on

  • Food Studios. The same booth format as Food and Wine, but the dishes are presented as edible art. Paid separately from park admission.
  • Visual arts. Working artists, gallery displays and pieces for sale throughout World Showcase.
  • Disney on Broadway concerts. The strongest element for most people, and the one worth planning around. Performers from Disney’s stage shows, several times a night.
  • Paint-by-number murals and workshops, which are free and popular with children.

Dates

In 2026 the festival ran 16 January to 23 February.

Disney lists the 2027 festival from 15 January to 1 March 2027 (checked 13 October 2026). Disney says more details will follow this winter.

Dates checked against Disney’s festival page on 13 October 2026.

Practical notes

  • The festival is included; the food is not. Booth dishes are charged separately and add up quickly, same as Food and Wine.
  • Concerts fill up. Dining packages guarantee seating and are worth it if a particular performer matters to you.
  • Weekdays are far quieter. Even in a quiet season, weekends draw local annual passholders.
