The only big discounts on Walt Disney World tickets go to Florida residents and the US military. Florida residents pay 40% less than everyone else for a 4-day ticket, according to Disney, and military buyers at Shades of Green pay about 20% less, tax-free, on tickets of 3 days or more. For everyone else, an established reseller sells the same ticket for about 4 to 6% less than Disney does.

We priced one ticket, a 4-day base ticket for an adult, at Disney and at the two best-known resellers on 17 October 2026. On a 12 January 2027 start it cost $728.24 at Disney, $700.71 at Undercover Tourist and $687 at Get Away Today. Picking a cheaper start date saves far more than that: the same ticket costs $495.84 to $741.23 before tax, depending on the day you start.

Same ticket, three prices

All three prices are for a Walt Disney World 4-day base ticket for one adult (ages 10 and up), tax included, valid for any 4 days within 7 days of the start date.

Seller Start 12 Jan 2027 Saving on Disney Start 15 Mar 2027 Saving on Disney
Disney $728.24 · $766.73 ·
Undercover Tourist $700.71 $27.53 less (3.8%) $737.62 $29.11 less (3.8%)
Get Away Today $687 $41.24 less (5.7%) $724 $42.73 less (5.6%)

Prices checked on 17 October 2026. Disney’s figure is its own price plus 6.5% tax. Undercover Tourist’s is its final price with tax. Get Away Today shows whole dollars at its date picker, and its struck-through comparison price matches Disney’s price with tax, so its figure appears to include tax too; check the final price at checkout.

Two things to know before you chase the last few dollars. Undercover Tourist advertises savings of $47 and $49 on these dates, but it measures them against a gate price; against Disney’s own online price the saving is $27.53 and $29.11. And both companies describe themselves as authorised Disney sellers. That is their own claim: we couldn’t find a list of authorised sellers anywhere on Disney World’s site (checked 17 October 2026).

Your start date saves more than any discount

Disney prices every ticket by start date. Across every start date from 17 October 2026 to 31 October 2027, the 4-day adult base ticket runs from $495.84 (starting 23 August 2027) to $741.23 (starting 12 February 2027) before tax, according to Disney’s price feed. That $245.39 gap is 6 to 9 times the reseller savings above.

So the order to work in is: choose your dates, then the length of ticket, then the seller. Our Disney World tickets guide covers lengths and add-ons, and our ticket price history shows how the prices have moved by year.

Who gets a real discount

Florida residents: 40% off 4-day tickets

Disney sells Florida residents 4-day tickets at 40% off and 3-day tickets at 30% off the standard price for the same dates, all year. A 4-day ticket must be used within 7 days of its start date and a 3-day ticket within 5. No park reservation is needed.

Ticket and start date Florida resident, before tax Standard, before tax Saving
4-day, 12 Jan 2027 $410.27 $683.79 $273.52
4-day, 15 Mar 2027 $431.96 $719.93 $287.97
3-day, 12 Jan 2027 $371.10 $530.14 $159.04
3-day, 15 Mar 2027 $388.90 $555.57 $166.67

Worked examples from Disney’s prices for those dates, read on 17 October 2026. You prove residency online when you buy or at a ticket window before first use. Adults need a Florida driving licence, Florida state ID or Florida-based military ID, or photo ID plus a proof-of-address document dated within the last 2 months. Disney says it can cancel a ticket and refuse entry if it suspects a document isn’t valid, so a resident ticket bought for someone who doesn’t live in Florida is a risk at the gate.

US military: Salute tickets and Shades of Green

Disney’s 2026 Military Salute tickets include Park Hopper and cost, before tax:

  • 4 days: $409 ($439 with Park Hopper Plus)
  • 5 days: $429 ($459)
  • 6 days: $449 ($479)
  • Disney Celebrates America ticket for repeat visits: $499 ($529)

They’re valid until 18 December 2026, with blockout dates from 22 to 28 November 2026, and a park reservation is required. They’re for active and retired US military, including the National Guard, Reservists, Coast Guard, Space Force and the PHS and NOAA Commissioned Corps, and their spouses. Each can buy up to 6, and 1 of those 6 must be used by the service member or spouse, according to Disney. There’s no tax when you buy at a base ticket office or at Shades of Green, the Armed Forces resort on Disney property.

Disney hadn’t announced 2027 military tickets by 17 October 2026, and Shades of Green expects news in November. For standard tickets, Shades of Green says 1- and 2-day tickets are about 10% cheaper than Disney’s and 3-day and longer tickets about 20% cheaper, tax-free. It doesn’t publish exact prices; you request a quote through its online form.

Other places that sell Disney World tickets

  • AAA sells Disney World tickets through its regional clubs, and each club sets its own offer. Prices are only shown to members after logging in, so we couldn’t compare them.
  • Costco Travel listed Disney World tickets only inside hotel packages on 17 October 2026, with no ticket-only product.
  • Sam’s Club sells 1- to 10-day tickets with Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus only, at members-only prices.
  • Disney’s own packages carry most of Disney’s current offers, such as up to $250 a night off select 4-night, 4-day room-and-ticket packages from 3 January to 28 July 2027. Those are room savings. See our Disney World packages guide for whether a package beats booking separately.

Paying with discounted Disney gift cards

Disney accepts Disney Gift Cards for theme park tickets on its website. If you can buy those cards for less than face value, the saving carries over to the ticket. Target says holders of its Circle Card (formerly RedCard) get 5% off purchases at Target, and Disney gift cards aren’t on its list of exclusions. On the 12 January 2027 ticket, paying with cards bought at 5% off takes Disney’s $728.24 down to an effective $691.83, our arithmetic. That’s cheaper than Undercover Tourist on the same date. Target can change the terms at any time, so check before you buy a stack of cards.

Buying in the UK: the 14-day ticket

Disney’s UK site sells 7-day and 14-day Disney Magic Tickets to UK and Ireland residents only. The longest ticket on Disney’s US site is 10 days. The 14-day ticket can be used on any 14 days within 18 days of its start date and includes Park Hopper, the water parks, Memory Maker for adults, mini golf and ESPN Wide World of Sports, according to Disney. An adult 14-day ticket cost £626.47 for a 12 January 2027 start and £675.80 for 15 March 2027 when we checked on 17 October 2026. It’s non-refundable and non-transferable.

How to avoid a fake or void ticket

Disney’s ticket terms rule out most “cheap ticket” offers on their own:

  • Resale is banned. Disney’s terms say tickets may not be resold, and that each ticket is nontransferable, revocable and must be used by the same person on every day.
  • Part-used tickets are dead. Disney says that once someone has used a ticket, its remaining days belong to that person and can’t be transferred. A seller offering the “last 2 days” of a 5-day ticket is selling something you can’t use.
  • Unused tickets can be given away, through Disney. Disney allows an unused ticket to be transferred, and its gift option at checkout puts the recipient’s name on the order. That’s the legitimate route for gifting.
  • Discounted tickets are tied to the buyer. Florida resident and military tickets need proof of eligibility, and Disney can cancel them if it suspects fraud.

For any seller you don’t know, the Better Business Bureau’s advice is to buy from the venue where possible, watch for web addresses made to look like a well-known company, and pay by credit card so you have some recourse. The Federal Trade Commission’s warning for World Cup tickets applies just as well here: someone selling a paper ticket or a screenshot is likely a scammer. If the price is far below the table above, the missing money has to come from somewhere, usually the ticket.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can you buy discounted Disney World tickets?

From established resellers such as Undercover Tourist and Get Away Today, which sold a 4-day adult ticket for about 4 to 6% less than Disney when we checked on 17 October 2026. Florida residents get 40% off 4-day tickets from Disney, and US military buyers get about 20% off at Shades of Green.

Is Undercover Tourist legit for Disney World tickets?

It describes itself as an authorised Disney seller and sells Disney’s own e-tickets. Its 4-day adult ticket for a 12 January 2027 start cost $700.71 with tax on 17 October 2026, $27.53 less than Disney’s $728.24. We couldn’t find a Disney list of authorised sellers to confirm the claim.

Does Costco sell Disney World tickets?

Not on their own. On 17 October 2026 Costco Travel listed Disney World tickets only as part of hotel packages, either at Disney hotels or off-site hotels. Sam’s Club sells tickets to members, but only with Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus, and its prices are only visible after logging in.

Can you buy someone else’s unused Disney World ticket?

Only as a gift, not a sale. Disney’s terms say tickets may not be resold, though an unused ticket can be transferred. Once a ticket has been used, its remaining days belong to that person, so a part-used ticket from a stranger won’t work. Disney’s checkout has a gift option for this.

How much do Florida residents save on Disney World tickets?

Disney sells Florida residents 4-day tickets at 40% off and 3-day tickets at 30% off the standard price for the same dates. For a 4-day ticket starting 12 January 2027 that is $410.27 against $683.79 before tax. Adults prove residency with a Florida driving licence, state ID or proof of address.

Do military get discounted Disney World tickets?

Yes. Disney’s 2026 Military Salute tickets start at $409 plus tax for 4 days with Park Hopper and are valid until 18 December 2026. Shades of Green says its standard 3-day and longer tickets are about 20% cheaper than Disney’s and tax-free. Disney hadn’t announced 2027 military tickets by 17 October 2026.
