The Experience
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a trackless dark ride where you shrink down to rat size and move through Gusteau’s restaurant kitchen. Your rat-shaped vehicle is guided by computerized navigation instead of fixed rails, so it takes a different path each time you ride.
The vehicles move independently, which means each ride feels slightly different depending on traffic flow. You’ll see practical sets combined with screen effects. The rat perspective means you’re looking at the kitchen from ground level, which changes how you perceive space and height.
The queue is one of the most beautifully designed at Disney World. You walk through Parisian streets and then into a scaled kitchen environment. Even the queue is worth experiencing for the theming alone.
The shrinking perspective is the part that lands with younger children. She asked what it felt like to be a rat, and this ride gave her a sense of what that might be like.

Spend a first-choice Lightning Lane here: Remy’s sits in EPCOT’s first-choice Multi Pass group alongside Frozen Ever After and Test Track, and you can only pre-book one of the three. There is a normal standby queue and it costs nothing to join, but it is usually the longest in the park.
Timing for Shortest Waits: Evening is best. The France Pavilion empties once people move towards the front of the park for the night-time show, and the last hour before close is the one reliable short standby wait of the day.
The Queue Experience: Don’t skip the queue. It’s one of the most well-designed queues at Disney. The Parisian streets have authentic details. The scaled kitchen equipment is museum-quality. Spend time looking around.
Trackless Technology: The vehicles move independently. Your path will be slightly different each time. Sit back and enjoy the ride without worrying about staying on track.
Nearby Dining: Crepes des Chefs de France is in the same pavilion and offers mobile ordering. It’s a great option after riding.
The Glasses Are Gone: Remy’s dropped its 3D layer on 14 November 2025 and now runs in 2D. Nothing is handed to you at the load area. The screens read brighter and sharper for it, and the trackless movement carries the ride perfectly well without the depth effect.
About the Trackless Technology
Trackless dark rides use GPS-like guidance to move vehicles without fixed rails. The system keeps vehicles from colliding while allowing independent movement. This means each ride is slightly different based on how many vehicles are on the track at that moment.
You won’t notice the differences while riding, but if you ride multiple times, you’ll see your vehicle takes slightly different turns or approaches scenes from slightly different angles. The theming masks the technology, so you just experience the adventure.

Where it fits in an EPCOT day
Remy’s is the hardest ride to get on at EPCOT, and the building is the reason. It is small, the trackless vehicles run in groups of three, and throughput has never caught up with demand.
Standby regularly posts 60 to 90 minutes through the middle of the day. Two windows are worth planning around: the moment World Showcase opens, and the last hour before the park closes.
Because it shares the first-choice Multi Pass group with Test Track and Frozen Ever After, most families end up choosing between a 90 minute Remy’s queue and a 60 minute Test Track one. Remy’s is usually the better use of the pick.
Anyone can ride. No height requirement, no drops, and the vehicles glide rather than lurch. The thing that unsettles small children is the scale: you are rat-sized, so the kitchen ceiling is four storeys up and every chef is a giant.
