Two adults on a mid-range Disney World trip in 2026 spend roughly $900 to $1,100 a day: about $3,320 for a long weekend of 3 nights and $6,350 for a week, flights extra. Those totals cover a Moderate resort, tickets, food and Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

Couples spend differently from families: no kids’ menus, no stroller rental, no afternoon back at the hotel, and a much higher share of the budget going on food and drink.

Here are the numbers, worked out with our trip cost calculator from Disney’s own ticket and hotel prices.

Short answer: the average cost of a Disney World trip for two adults

A mid-range trip for two adults costs roughly $900 to $1,100 per day once you include a Disney Moderate resort, tickets, food and Lightning Lane Multi Pass, on typical dates. Flights are extra.

Trip length Park days Mid-range total for two Per day
Long weekend (3 nights) 3 ~$3,320 ~$1,110
5 nights 4 ~$4,860 ~$970
7 nights 6 ~$6,350 ~$910

Longer trips cost less per day. Tickets get cheaper per day as you add days, and the fixed costs of getting there are spread wider. A week is better value than a long weekend, which catches a lot of couples out.

What each line actually costs in 2026

Tickets

A one-day base ticket runs $119 to $219 per adult before tax, depending on park and date. Animal Kingdom is the cheapest, Magic Kingdom the dearest. The median single day over the next 12 months is $189.

Multi-day tickets are where the value is. The median 4-day base ticket is about $680 per adult, which works out at $170 a day rather than $189. A 5-day ticket has a median of about $747 and a 7-day about $823.

Park Hopper adds $75 to $105 to a multi-day ticket and $47 to $108 to a 1-day ticket, before tax, according to Disney’s prices (checked 17 October 2026). For two adults with no nap schedule to work around, this is usually worth it (more on that below).

Hotel

Resort tier Disney’s nightly rate for 2 adults, before tax Example
Value $136 to $388 Pop Century, All-Star resorts
Moderate $269 to $465 Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans
Deluxe $488 to $1,219 Polynesian, Grand Floridian

Disney’s own prices for the cheapest room at each resort, across 7 sample stays from November 2026 to August 2027, checked on 17 October 2026. Hotel tax adds 12.5%, or 13.5% at the All-Star resorts.

Two adults only need a bed. This is the single easiest place for a couple to save, because everything a family needs a bigger room for does not apply to you.

Of the seven stays we priced, the cheapest Value room was $136 a night at All-Star Sports for a 12 January 2027 arrival.

Food

Rough per-adult prices to build your own number:

  • Quick service entree: about $14, plus $4 to $5 for a drink. Budget $18 to $20 a meal.
  • Table service meal: about $64.50 on average.
  • Snacks: $5 to $9.
  • Alcohol: this is the line that separates adult trips from family trips. Drinking around EPCOT’s World Showcase adds $60 to $100 per person on the day you do it.

Our calculator estimates $130 a day for two adults on mostly quick service, $190 mixing quick and table service, and $300 with table service at most meals. Signature restaurants and drinks push it higher.

Lightning Lane

Multi Pass cost $15 to $42 per person per day in 2026, averaging about $25, according to Thrill Data, which logs the prices shown in Disney’s app. Magic Kingdom runs highest, Animal Kingdom lowest. Thrill Data shows prices up to 21 days ahead. Disney resort guests can buy passes 7 days before their stay and other guests 3 days before, according to Disney.

Three worked examples: 5 nights, 4 park days

Budget is a Disney Value resort with mostly quick service and no Lightning Lane. Mid-range is a Moderate resort with mixed food and Multi Pass, plus Park Hopper, which the table at the top of this page leaves out. Deluxe is a Deluxe resort with table service at most meals.

Line Budget Mid-range Deluxe
Hotel (5 nights, with tax) $1,010 $1,870 $4,125
Tickets (2 x 4-day, with tax) $1,543 $1,543 $1,543
Park Hopper – $224 $224
Food (5 days) $650 $950 $1,500
Lightning Lane Multi Pass – $200 $200
Souvenirs $100 $300 $600
Total ~$3,300 ~$5,090 ~$8,190

All figures exclude flights and transfers. Worked out with our calculator and checked against Disney’s prices on 17 October 2026, using Disney’s ticket prices for a 9 February 2027 start and the middle of Disney’s hotel rates in each tier (Value $202, Moderate $374 and Deluxe $825 a night with tax). Food, Lightning Lane and souvenirs are our estimates.

Where couples should spend

Park Hopper. Two adults move through a park faster than a family does. You will finish Animal Kingdom by mid-afternoon and want somewhere to go. Hopping to EPCOT for the evening is the single best use of about $100 on an adult trip.

Signature dining. Without a kids’ menu to work around, Disney’s higher-end restaurants become the main event of a trip. Disney says Victoria & Albert’s prix-fixe menu starts at $295 per person, with wine pairings from $155. It has a minimum age of 10, so it is one of the few genuinely adult rooms on property.

Location on short trips. If you are only there three nights, a deluxe resort you can walk or boat to a park from buys back the thing you have least of. On a week-long trip that maths flips and the value resort wins.

Where couples should not spend

The dining plan. It is built around family eating patterns and character meals. Two adults ordering a la carte, skipping breakfast and having one proper dinner a day almost always come out ahead. The quick service plan is $60.47 per person per night and the standard plan $98.59, according to a Disney Tourist Blog package quote, as Disney doesn’t publish prices. That’s about what our calculator expects two adults to spend anyway ($65 and $95 a day each), so the plan rarely saves money and it ties you to a Disney package.

The bigger room. Family suites, extra beds, connecting rooms. None of it applies to you.

A full week of park days. Six park days out of seven nights is plenty. Couples consistently report the resort day and the Disney Springs evening as trip highlights, and both are close to free. Disney Springs opens at 10am and runs to 11pm most nights (hours).

Flights and getting around

Flights are the biggest variable and the one this page cannot estimate for you. From the UK, expect ÂŁ450 to ÂŁ900 return per person to Orlando depending on season and how far ahead you book.

Disney’s airport coach service no longer runs. Budget $80 to $120 each way for a rideshare from MCO, or about $18 per adult on the Mears Connect shuttle once its privilege fee and fuel surcharge are added. Once you are on property, Disney transport is free and two adults rarely need a hire car unless you plan to leave Disney property.
