Disney World is built around parties of four. Once you go past that, almost every part of the trip changes: which rooms you can book, how many you need, what dining looks like, and how the per-person cost moves.

The single most useful thing to know up front is that almost no standard Disney room sleeps more than five. A handful sleep six. A party of 11 therefore needs two or three bookings, and that shapes the budget more than any other decision you make.

Room capacity: the number that decides everything

Work out how many rooms you need before you look at a single price. This is the constraint everything else hangs off.

Accommodation Sleeps Disney’s nightly rate, 2 adults, before tax
Value resort standard room 4 $136 to $388
Moderate resort standard room 4 to 5 $269 to $465
All-Star Music family suite 6 Price on Disney’s site
Art of Animation family suite 6 Price on Disney’s site
Cabins at Fort Wilderness 6 Price on Disney’s site
Fort Wilderness campsite 8 Cheapest on-site option
DVC villa (2-bedroom / 3-bedroom Grand Villa) 9 / 12 Price on Disney’s site

Standard-room rates are Disney’s own for the cheapest room and 2 adults, across 7 sample stays from November 2026 to August 2027, checked on 11 October 2026. Our rate check doesn’t cover suites, cabins or villas, so price those on Disney’s site.

Campsites cap at 8

Every Fort Wilderness campsite type sleeps up to 8 guests, according to Disney, so one site won’t take a group of 11.

The cabins are unaffected and still sleep 6.

The three ways to house a big group

1. Multiple value or moderate rooms

The cheapest route, and usually the right one. Three standard rooms at a Value resort sleep 12. At Disney’s 12 January 2027 rate for All-Star Music ($158.90 a night with tax, for 2 adults), that’s about $477 a night for all three.

The trade-off is that you are spread across separate rooms with no shared space. For a group that wants to sit together in the evening, that matters more than people expect.

2. Family suites

Two family suites house 12 and give you kitchenettes, two bathrooms each and a bit of room to breathe. Price All-Star Music against Art of Animation on Disney’s site for your dates before you choose. Art of Animation is better themed and priced accordingly.

A kitchenette is worth more on a long trip than it sounds. Breakfast for 11 in a food court every morning adds up fast.

3. One DVC Grand Villa

The only way to get everyone genuinely under one roof. A Grand Villa sleeps up to 12 with a full kitchen, living space and multiple bedrooms.

They are expensive and hard to book. Renting DVC points through a broker usually costs considerably less than Disney’s cash rate, which is how most large groups afford one. If your group is celebrating something and wants shared space, this is the option worth pricing properly.

Disney World group trip pricing: a worked example for 11 people, 5 nights

A realistic mid-range plan, using three All-Star Music standard rooms (12 beds for 11 people) and Disney’s prices for a 12 January 2027 start.

Item Working Rough total
Accommodation 3 rooms x 5 nights x $158.90 with tax ~$2,380
Park tickets 11 x 4-day adult base ticket at $728.24 with tax ~$8,010
Food 11 people x 5 days at our $95 a day mixed estimate ~$5,230
Lightning Lane Multi Pass 11 x 4 days x ~$25 ~$1,100
Souvenirs and extras Allow ~$100 per person ~$1,100
Approximate total ~$17,820

That works out around $1,620 per person before flights. The room rate is Disney’s price for 2 adults, and it changes with the number of people in each room. Trim it by dropping Lightning Lane, using the kitchenettes for breakfast, and visiting in a low season. Push it up with deluxe resorts, table service every night and a longer ticket.

Run your own version in the trip cost calculator, which handles party size directly.

Dining with a large party

This is where big groups get caught out.

  • An automatic 18% gratuity applies to parties of 6 or more at table-service restaurants. Worth knowing before the bill lands.
  • Book at 60 days, not later. Large-party availability is the first thing to go. A group of 11 has a fraction of the options a group of 4 does.
  • Two smaller reservations often beat one large one. Booking 2 tables of 5 or 6 usually finds availability when a table of 11 finds none, and it sidesteps the automatic gratuity. You will be at separate tables, which for some groups is fine and for others defeats the point.

Full detail on timing and strategy is in the dining reservations guide.

Practical things that only matter with a big group

  • Request rooms near each other. Disney will try but does not guarantee it. Link everyone’s reservations in My Disney Experience and add a room request. Value resorts are enormous, so being in different buildings is a real possibility.
  • Link every ticket and reservation. Lightning Lane bookings for a large party only work if everyone is connected in the app. Sort this before you travel, not in the queue.
  • Buses do not stay together. Eleven people rarely board one bus as a group at peak times. Agree a meeting point at each park before you set off.
  • Accept splitting up. Groups that plan two or three sub-groups with different priorities have a better time than groups that try to keep 11 people together from open to close.
  • One person books, everyone pays them. Splitting payments across multiple bookings creates problems with linking and modifications later.

Where the money actually goes

For most large groups the order is: tickets first, accommodation second, food third. Tickets scale linearly with headcount and there is no group discount, so they become the biggest single line the moment your party passes about eight people.

That is also where the savings are. Dropping from a 5-day to a 4-day ticket across 11 people saves more than most accommodation downgrades, and a spare day at the resort pool is rarely the worst part of anyone’s holiday.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Disney World group trip cost for 11 people?

Tickets and rooms alone come to about $10,400 for 5 nights at Disney’s 12 January 2027 prices. Eleven 4-day adult tickets are $8,011 including tax. Three All-Star Music rooms, which sleep 12, add $2,384 at Disney’s $158.90 nightly rate with tax. That rate is for 2 adults and changes with party size, and food and Lightning Lane are extra.

Does Disney World offer group rates?

Not for family and friends’ trips, as far as Disney’s own pages show. Tickets are priced per person by start date, so 11 four-day adult tickets cost 11 times the single price: $7,963 including tax at Disney’s median for start dates from 17 October 2026 to 16 October 2027 (checked 17 October 2026). Disney Meetings & Events handles conventions and corporate events.

Is there an all-inclusive Disney World package for groups?

Not fully. The closest is a Walt Disney Travel Company package with a Disney Resort hotel stay and a dining plan, the only way Disney sells its dining plans. Disney Tourist Blog, a third-party site, puts the 2027 Table-Service Dining Plan at $99.87 per adult a night, so 11 adults over 5 nights add $5,493. Lightning Lane and gratuities are extra.

How much does it cost to rent out Disney World?

Disney lists no price for renting out a whole park. The private events it does price start at $15,000 for a custom celebration and $3,000 for private dining, plus service charge and tax. A Disney Private VIP Tour costs $450 to $950 an hour for up to 10 guests, according to Disney, and park tickets are extra.

How many people can stay in one Disney World room?

Standard rooms sleep 4 or 5, depending on the resort, according to Disney. Family suites at Art of Animation and All-Star Music sleep 6 adults, and a Fort Wilderness campsite sleeps 8. Deluxe Villas go bigger: at Animal Kingdom Villas, a 2-bedroom villa sleeps 9 and a 3-bedroom Grand Villa sleeps 12.

Can 11 people stay in one Disney World room?

Yes, but only in a 3-bedroom Grand Villa, which Disney lists as sleeping up to 12 adults at Animal Kingdom Villas. Family suites sleep 6 and standard rooms 4 or 5, so most groups of 11 book 2 family suites or 3 standard Value rooms. Either option sleeps 12.

Who pays for what on a group Disney trip?

Split tickets by person and shared rooms by head. A 4-day adult ticket is $723.90 including tax at Disney’s median price for start dates from 17 October 2026 to 16 October 2027 (checked 17 October 2026). Agree how to share table-service bills before you go, because Disney adds an 18% gratuity for parties of 6 or more.

How do you book Disney World dining for a large group?

Book as close to the 60-day mark as you can. Disney resort guests can book dining for their whole stay, up to 10 nights, 60 days before arrival, and everyone else 60 days ahead. New booking windows open at about 6am each day. An 18% gratuity is added automatically for parties of 6 or more.
